Photos and videos capture private moments and memories. It is important that the storage of your data is secure. We store your data in Germany, in accordance with European data protection regulations. The storage takes place in our self-controlled data center, which is TÜV certified. The transmission of your data to and from CEWE myPhotos is encrypted via https and SSL.

Double protection for your account with two-factor authentication

The security of your data is our top priority. Two-factor authentication helps protect your account against unauthorized access by other people.

By activating 2-factor authentication, you ensure that even if your password is known to others, only you can access your CEWE myPhotos account. In addition to your password, you will then have to enter a second factor - a confirmation code.

Yes, your data is safe with CEWE myPhotos. We place great importance on protecting your personal information. All of your uploaded photos and data are encrypted during upload and stored on our secure servers. Only you have access to your photos unless you share them. You can also activate two-factor authentication to make your account even more secure. Your privacy and security are our top priority.

At CEWE, customers always retain full control over their data. For example, suggestions from the digital assistant can always be changed, rejected or de-selected in advance by customers and these functions must be activated by you. Data protection is always the highest priority at CEWE (“Privacy by Design”). We neither sell customer data, nor do we pass it on to third parties without your consent. Comprehensive data analysis only takse place with anonymized data or your express consent.

Protect your account with another layer of security, so that only you can log in, even if others know your password. In order to log in, you need a second factor in addition to your password - the confirmation code. To activate this security measure, go to the Security section in the My Account area. You can activate 2-factor authentication from here.

After you have entered your password, you will be asked to enter your mobile phone number. This is used for account recovery in exceptional cases. In the following step, you will download an application for authentication (if you don't already have one). Then, scan the QR code or enter the key. From then on, you can use the 6-digit security code generated by the application to log in. You must enter this in addition to the existing password. You should also download or print the backup codes to ensure access if your smartphone is lost.

The device overview function gives you full control over your account. Here, you can see an overview of all your registered devices. You can see when and where the CEWE myPhotos service was last accessed. You can also log out of any devices remotely, to prevent unauthorized access.
